From July 1 through July 5, the International Joint Summer School - Social Work and Social Change: Human Rights in the Time of Social Crisis was held at Georgian National University SEU. This summer school was conducted in cooperation with the University of Eastern Switzerland and the Polytechnic University of Chernigov.
Ukrainian, Swiss, and Georgian students and professors participated in the sessions and discussions planned within the summer school. The participants worked as a team on topics related to internally displaced persons, domestic violence, and the penitentiary system, and analyzed human rights in these contexts.
Students also visited the Kaspi Museum of Politically Repressed, the War Museum in Ergneti, and the N16 Penitentiary Institution in Rustavi.
The aim of the summer school was for students to share their country's experiences with each other, work on specific issues, and find ways to solve problems.
At the end of the summer school, students made presentations and were awarded with certificates.
