SEU - Georgian National University

The competition, titled “I write an independent essay”, is open to high school students with special talents in humanities (10-12 graders) throughout Georgia.

Gia Murghulia, doctor of philology, specialist in education and member of the Board of Trustees of the Public Broadcaster, is the author of the concept of ​​the competition, the head of the organizing council and the chairman of the jury. The competition jury will also include famous teachers, writers, publicists, art critics, philosophers and historians.

The competition will be held in 2 rounds. The best students, selected by the jury from the participants in the first round, will advance to the second round. Second, the final round and the award ceremony will be held at SEU.

The competition will have 10 winners in the following categories:

• Three “best” participants: the first place, the second place, the third place.
• The first place winner will be given a Lenovo V15, 15,6 by SEU, as well as a voucher for full tuition at SEU, while his/her Georgian language and literature teacher will receive 700 GEL.
• The second place winner will be awarded 500 GEL by SEU, while 400 GEL will be given to his/her Georgian language and literature teacher.
• The third place winner will be awarded 200 GEL by SEU, while his/her Georgian language and literature teacher will receive 200 GEL.
• The three “distinguished” participants (IV-VI places) and four “excellent” participants (VII-X places) will be awarded special diplomas and gifts.

The schools of all ten winners of the competition will be awarded a special diploma.
