On 7-10 September, The Head of the English-language DMD program of Georgian National University SEU, Professor Maia Jikia took part in the annual meeting of the Association for Dental Education in Europe (ADEE), organized by KU Leuven - Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium).
The main topic of the meeting was: "Artificial Intelligence as a tool for strengthening the sustainability of dental education". The advantages, challenges of artificial intelligence and its impact on the students' teaching-learning process, clinical practice and scientific research were also discussed.
The European Federation of Periodontology presented at the meetings a new guideline for an updated evidence-based periodontal education curriculum as well as the ways to integrate it into the individual institutional curriculum.
Many interesting meetings were held within the framework of the visit, in which representatives of dental faculties of the world’s leading universities and international dental companies participated.
The particularly important fact is that the plans for future cooperation and for the implementation of joint projects with international companies and universities were outlined.
