The International Human Rights Day is observed on December 10, under which the “University Human Rights Law Week” is held annually on December 2-10.
The aim of the Week is to raise awareness of human rights issues among students and young people, and actively exchange ideas and opinions on human rights law, through the cooperation of universities.
SEU should be noted for its active involvement in human rights issues. We believe that through joint efforts, we will be able to raise public awareness of problematic human rights issues and strengthen human dignity, freedom and equality before the law in the Georgian community.
The University Human Rights Week is supported by the USAID-funded program “Promoting Rule of Law in Georgia (USAID-PROLoG)”.
As part of the Week, SEU offers the following events:
Public lecture titled “The Right to Energy”
A film screening on “Gender Equality”, with a discussion afterwards.
A film screening on “Sex Crimes”, with a discussion afterwards.
Public lecture on “Pandemic and Human Rights”
A film screening, followed by the discussion titled “Images of Diversity: Sopho, Images of Diversity: Hurie”.
