The European method of teaching introduced in SEU implies maximum involvement of students in creative activities. The university has an ensemble of folk songs and dances - Eriseuli, a club for the smart and funny, a theatre troupe and a musical band. The SEU building also houses a disco club equipped with modern equipment.

Eriseuli

In 2008, SEU students created a Georgian folk dance and song ensemble – Eriseuli. Eriseuli includes dancers of Erisioni, the Sukhishvilis, Rustavi and other famous ensembles. The singers’ chorus of Eriseuli is taught by Nugzar Kurtskhalia, the dance troupe – by Zaal Chumburidze.

Eriseuli regularly holds intra-university concerts for SEU students. It is also planning tours abroad.

Theatre troupe

Soon, the idea of creating a theatre troupe at SEU will come to fruition. SEU student will be acting as beginning directors and actors. The troupe will hold performances in the SEU hall that is equipped with modern equipment and a top-notch lighting system. The most successful performances will be presented to a wider audience.

Musical band

Directed by a member of Nikolshow, Gia Nikoladze, SEU students have created a musical band. The beginning musicians of the band regularly hold intra-university musical evenings in the SEU hall which is equipped with modern equipment and a top-notch lighting system. The events also involve well-known musicians.

The Club for the Smart and Funny

In 2003, students formed a club for the smart and funny – SEU. The club operates on a team basis. Every spring, members of the club hold intra-university events for SEU students. They are also planning to take part in interuniversity contests.

Student karaoke “Golden Microphone”

Every year, students from different Georgian universities hold a karaoke – “The Golden Microphone”. In 2009, SEU students also took part in the event. SEU was represented by Meka Zambakhidze and Bela Kavtelishvili who took the second place.

The SEU club

SEU takes care to ensure that its students have fun and relax well. For this purpose, the university opened a club equipped with modern equipment and a top-notch lighting system. Once a month, the club hosts shows organized by the student self-government body and the Department of Sports and Culture in which SEU students are given an opportunity to demonstrate their talent.
